About the Journal

Journal of General, Emerging, and Multidisciplinary Medicine (GEM) was established in 2026 to provide a rigorous, open-access publishing platform for general medicine, emerging clinical fields, and the allied health sciences.

GEM is a diamond open access journal: publication is free for authors and reading is free for everyone, with no article processing charges on either side. All published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process and adheres to the core principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). GEM publishes quarterly, with its inaugural issue (Volume 1, Issue 1) planned for January 2027.
